The PLC module enables the communication with PLC systems (currently only Siemens SIMATIC S7 1200 or 1500).

The standard PLC from Siemens is still the most frequently used programmable logic controller (PLC) in Germany. The SIEMATIC S7 is seamlessly integrated into Siemens Software TIA Portal and offers sufficient system performance even for demanding systems.

Integration in drag&bot

A Modbus server is configured in the TIA Portal and transferred to the PLC, after which it can communicate via TCP/IP with drag&bot. Drag&bot programs with process parameters can be started directly from the PLC. It is also possible to read/write the IOs of the PLC from drag&bot and send results of the robot program back to the PLC.

The video on the right demonstrates how Siemens S7 is integrated into drag&bot. In just a few steps you can start with your robot programming!

Why drag&bot?

How does deployment work?

Graphical user interface for every robot – drag&bot

  • COMPONENT MANAGER – Here the user configures the connected hardware. The installation of the corresponding drivers takes place automatically in the background.

  • BUILDER – Applications can be created from predefined function blocks using drag and drop.

  • WIZARDS – Graphical operating and input aids: Users can adapt function blocks to the specific requirements of their application without expert knowledge.

  • RUN VIEW – The created applications are executed here. With one click you return to the Builder and can extend and optimize the application.
